After announcing that he intends to return to competitive play after a year out of esports, due to sexual assault accusations from a former partner, Jay “Sinatraa” Won may be about to land a spot on one of the best rosters in VALORANT, as he eyes a return to the starting line up for the organisation he is still contracted to.
Since being suspended from competing by Riot Games following the investigations into his sexual assault allegations, Sinatraa has now confirmed he wants to return to competing and has claimed that he has “grown as a person.”
After revealing that he intends to start tryouts for professional teams this week, Sinatraa has now admitted that he hopes he can play for Sentinels once again.
Sinatraa kicked off his VALROANT career with Sentinels, after making the switch over the game following his lucrative career in Overwatch came to an end. His parent organisation opted not to cut ties with the player following the sexual assault investigations, instead, making him a streamer whilst Tyson “TenZ” Ngo replaced him; a move which saw Sentinels go on to win the first two VALORANT Champions Tour Masters Splits, where TenZ was hailed as the greatest player in the world.
Now, after a string of poor results for Sentinels, and evidence surfacing that shows TenZ needs help on the roster, Sinatraa has taken to social media to voice his thoughts on a return to their starting five.
Speaking on Twitter, Sinatraa said claimed that his “first choice” would be to return to Sentinels, when quizzed on where he would like to play, before teasing Sentinels fans by appearing in the orgs content creation for the first time in a year.

Sinatraa won multiple events with Sentinels in the pre-VCT era, and was even a part of the organisations’ first NA Challengers victory back in 2021.

After updating his fans with his intentions for the future, the only question that loomed is who would he replace on the Sentinels roster should he re-join the squad, given that his replacement TenZ is now almost untouchable.
Instead, it appears Sinatraa may have to adapt his role somewhat, and is reported to be taking the spot of Jared “Zombs” Gitlin. According to a report from Dot Esports, Sinatraa has been practising with Sentinels instead of Zombs, prior to the upcoming Stage Two Challengers.
Both Sinatraa and Zombs have a good relationship outside of VALORANT, with the pair recently posting a video together as gym buddies.
Should Sinatraa fail to make an impact on Sentinels’ roster, it’s uncertain which other organisations have offered him a trial.
